The Independent
Art Studio Tour
began in 2008.

It's purpose is to expose our area's vast art talent and make our artists accessible to the public.

Each May artists open their doors on designated weekends for the public to visit and see what it is that they do.

This gives artists the opportunity to talk about their work and helps the surrounding community better understand what "art" means and why we are driven to pursue it.

The Independent Art Studio Tour is back.

- to demystify Visual Art and make it accessible to our local community.

The 2009 Inde Art Studio Tour covered 7 communities, 23 studios and 35 artists.

The 2011 IAST promises to be much larger.

As a result, the tour is scheduled to take place over four weekends in May. (Each area and weekends chosen for them will be announced later this month.)

The listing fee for our tour is $30 per artist. This fee helps cover the cost of printing our tour guide and our internet presence.

The purpose of the guide and the website is to offer continued exposure for artists listings well beyond the tour itself and many IAST artists have been chosen for exhibits and sold work through the tour guide contact information.

The last day to register for the guide will be April 2nd.
